BLUEBIRD TALENT CONTEST

ELVIS RETURNS:

Right in the middle of downtown Wills Point, the "King of Rock n Roll", ELVIS visited the Wills Point Bluebird Festival in 2007 for the very first time. Crooning some favorites, his charm and charisma endeared him to the audience. Dressed in true ELVIS fashion complete with his cape, Elvis danced and sang his way around the stage area stopping by to pay special attention to some fans. He captivated his audience and they couldn't help but tap their feet to the music and sing some hits with him. He was a HUGE hit with the crowd, drawing them in with his enthusiasm, and the BBFA is excited about his return this year.

Terry "E" started as a fluke when he wanted to surprise his wife for their 10 year anniversary by singing to her at work. After that he performed at various family and friend functions for the next 11 years when he was approached by a co-worker to do some entertaining as a perk to their customers, which fortunately for him came at about the time children started driving and enrolling in college.

"I feel blessed and fortunate to do something that I enjoy to supplement my income and provide for my family. I look forward to performing at the Bluebird Festival for the second time and hope to be invited back every year", stated Mr. Edwards. He will make appearances on the BROOKSHIRE'S Main Stage at 10AM and 3PM and on the 5th STREET STAGE at 11:15.

“BLUEBIRD IDOL”

Contest finals to be held April 22, 2008 on the

BROOKSHIRE’S MAIN STAGE

At the 15^th Annual Bluebird Festival!

1^st Place: $100 2^nd Place $75 3^rd Place $50

For the age categories of 15-20 and 21+!

($50 Prize for the TOP SCORE in the under 15 category!)

Preliminary auditions will be held Thursday, April 17, 2008

at Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in the new Deen Building.

Participation in preliminaries is mandatory!

ENTRY FEE- $20

Pre-registration is recommended to be given your choice of time slot.

Registration at the preliminary contest is accepted from 5-6PM prior to 6:30PM start of competition.

Payment must accompany entry form. Makes checks payable to Wills Point Bluebird Festival Association

3. Contestants may use a CD, cassette tape or instrument to accompany

4. Contestants will be judged on: 60% VOCAL ABILITY and 40% STAGE PRESENCE
